Change is here.
Let’s talk about it.
You’re not alone. A new administration brings questions about your role, your team, and your future. Navigating Transition is a six-part series of live lunchtime conversations for New Mexico state employees, a place to ask those questions out loud and leave with practical tools to stay steady through the change.
Feeling uncertain?
Real Talk
I’ve lived through transitions many times, from both sides: as a classified employee and as a GOVEX appointee. These conversations share what I’ve learned about what really changes, what doesn’t, and how to stay steady. We’ll also talk about what’s within your control, and the steps to take if you’re ready for a change of your own.
Safe Space
Cameras are optional, chat goes only to me, and sessions are never recorded. Come as you are. You can also send your questions ahead of time, so each conversation is shaped around what you’re actually curious about and is worth your lunch hour. Questions are always shared without names.
Lunchtime
We gather Mondays on Zoom, from anywhere in New Mexico. The room opens at noon so you can settle in with your lunch, and we begin at 12:10 sharp and wrap up by 12:50, leaving you time to get back to your day. Think of it as a standing lunch with someone who’s been where you are.
Six conversations.

These conversations draw on my personal experience and are not legal, HR, or official State of New Mexico guidance. For questions about your specific situation, contact your agency’s HR office or the State Personnel Office. This series is nonpartisan and focused on navigating change itself. Slides are not distributed, so feel free to take your own notes. Please attend on your own lunch break and personal device.
